Welcome to the behind-the-scenes of how your Schoolnest order travels from our hands to yours! Below you'll find answers to our most common shipping and return questions.

When will my order ship?
Orders are processed within 5–7 business days before shipping. We ship Monday through Thursday, so orders placed over the weekend will ship the following week.
If you ordered a PREORDER item, please allow up to approximately 6 weeks for production before we begin shipping.
How do you ship orders?
We ship via USPS Ground Advantage with tracking included. You'll receive an email with tracking info as soon as your package has its tracking number.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship to the USA, Puerto Rico, and APO addresses only. No international shipping is available at this time.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs range from $8–$18 based on your distance from Michigan.
Will my items ship together?
If you place multiple orders close together and neither has shipped yet, we’ll do our best to combine them into one package to save on materials (and your shipping cost).
If we combine your orders, you may notice a shipping refund email after one of the orders ships—this just means we refunded the extra shipping cost you paid. No need to worry, your full combined order is still on its way.
What kind of packaging do you use?
We ship in recycled and recyclable cardboard boxes and tissue paper. Your notebooks or planners will be wrapped in cello bags for moisture protection.
My tracking is delayed, lost, or says “delivered” but I haven’t received my package. What should I do?
Please contact both USPS and schoolnest so we can help investigate. If your package is delayed and still in transit, this is not a reason for a refund. If your package is confirmed lost (with no signs of delivery) after a reasonable wait time, we will reship your package or offer a refund if the items are no longer in stock. Occasionally, packages work through the system after some delays, so it’s important to keep an eye on the tracking and give it time. If it says delivered but a day has passed, check with neighbors/the community and call your local post office before contacting us.
What if my order is damaged during shipping or is missing an item?
Oh no! Please check your order immediately upon receipt and email us within 24 hours of receiving your order with:
Your order number
Clear photos of the issue and the shipping box
We’ll review the situation and either:
Send a replacement (if in stock)
Or issue store credit (if the item is out of stock or not worth re-shipping)
We’ll replace or refund damaged items once, as long as the damage is significant and the item is unusable. We can not provide refunds after this timeframe.
What if I received the wrong item?
Mistakes happen! Contact us right away with photos of your full order and the issue, and we’ll make it right on a case-by-case basis.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Due to the handmade nature of our products and the small size of our business, we do not offer returns or exchanges.
For standard orders: If you ordered the wrong item, reach out within 24 hours, and we are happy to adjust or refund your order only if it hasn't been processed.
For PREORDER items: Because funds are immediately committed to bulk raw materials and production schedules, cancellations or style changes are only accepted within 24 hours of purchase. After this window, preorder sales are final and cannot be canceled or swapped.

Standard Orders:
Because we strive to process and ship orders quickly, you have a 24-hour window from the time of purchase to request a cancellation or change.
You may cancel or change your preorder within 24 hours of purchase, if it hasn’t been marked as shipped. You will be refunded the total, minus the 3% processing fees we are charged in order to accept your payment. Once an order has been processed for shipping, it can no longer be canceled or modified.
We sometimes begin packing your order immediately after it is placed, so please order carefully and confidently!
PREORDER Items:
Our preorders are produced in intentional batches based on the number of orders received, and supplies are committed to in specific quantities for your order.
24-Hour Grace Period: You may cancel or change your preorder within 24 hours of purchase. You will be refunded the total, minus the 3% processing fees we are charged in order to accept your payment.
Final Sale: After this 24-hour window, your order is locked in. We immediately commit these funds to bulk raw materials and production labor. Therefore, we do not accept cancellations, refunds, or style changes for preorders after the first 24 hours.
Transaction Fees: Please note that for all customer-requested cancellations, the non-refundable credit card processing fee (approximately 3%) will be deducted from your refund total.

What if there's a typo or a minor error in my planner?
Our planners are handmade, not mass-produced, so imperfections or occasional typos may happen. By purchasing, you acknowledge and accept:
Variations in color may occur due to printer type, lighting, screens, and cameras. This is not a defect.
A missing page, ink out of place, small dent or crease, or other minor imperfection is not a reason for an exchange or refund.

Are digital downloads refundable?
All printables and digital downloads are final sale. Due to the nature of digital products, we cannot issue refunds once the file has been delivered to your email. Please double-check your cart before completing your purchase. These items are not printed or shipped, they are for you to download and print yourself.
